Eustachian Tube Disfunction
In Clinic Appointment
Service Description
Eustachian tube dysfunction (ETD) occurs when the Eustachian tubes, which connect the middle ear to the back of the throat, become blocked or fail to open properly. This can lead to symptoms like muffled hearing, ear fullness, pain, or popping sounds, often triggered by colds, allergies, or changes in air pressure, such as during air travel. Normally, these tubes regulate ear pressure and drain fluid, but when dysfunctional, they can cause discomfort or temporary hearing issues.
